It has been a very busy couple of week here. I was busy cooking and baking for our guest's arrival and then I was busy entertaining our guests. After 6 weeks of solitude, it was nice to have good friends here to have fun with. We ate, saw some sites, and drank a bit much. All good fun.

In Praise Of The iPhone
I bought my iPhone when Aiven was about five months old. If I had known how life-altering it would be, I would have bought one before he was born. It has made many things much easier to manage.
Rather than needing a cell phone, digital camera, and camcorder within arm's reach at all times to catch every call, picture, and silly video I now have an all-in-one as-seen-on-TV razzle dazzle device.
I could barely remember the day of the week when Aiven was born, much less when he had his last poopy diaper, feeding, or nap. In hindsight, the iPhone would have saved me so much frustration from trying to write it all down and then never remembering where I put my notes. The BabyConnect app was super easy to set up and I started recording all his inputs and outputs in no time. (After a week I stopped recording his solid food intake because it was easier to track what was coming out). Thanks to the app, when he'd get cranky I could whip out my iPhone and easily figure out what was overdue. I also put his milestones in there so I could precisely answer the pediatrician's questions about when he sat up, rolled over, and did other stupid pet tricks. I input his vaccinations and his stats (height, weight) so I can measure exactly how extraordinary he is. Once we get settled in Austin, I'll store doctor numbers and emergency contacts in there, and I can invite his caregivers to view his medical history. I'm hoping they keep upgrading this app so that one day I can just transfer all the data onto jDate for him.

My apologies. We have had guests and I haven't had a moment. I will post more pictures and an update in the next couple of days. Hope everyone is having a great summer!
