I Want to be Pregnant Already

Time is not on my side to have another child. It wasn’t on my side for the first one, and it certainly isn’t now.

When I met Alex, we discussed my age and knew that if there was going to be a problem conceiving, the only way to find out was to try. I took my temperature, charted diligently, and, surprisingly, got pregnant immediately. We were relieved, shocked, and thrilled.

Doggy Dilemma

I love my dogs. I really do.

I am so grateful for them. When I was single they provided me with companionship, love, and attention. When no man could be loyal, Oscar and Reilly were always there for me.

I am lucky that my husband fell in love with them. He loves them just as much as I do. Before Aiven, he gave them so much attention, they pretty much forgot I existed. It was all about Alex the Alpha Dog.

Happy Happy

Today is 2 years since my husband and I met.  This is the anniversary we celebrate every year since our lives were forever changed that night.

Yes, he has planned a fabulous evening out on the town tonight (Dinner and Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo with Robin Williams).

AND, he even gave me surprise gift this morning.  Honestly, I am not a fancy person and don't need expensive gifts.  But like most women I know, we all dream of one day getting a little blue box.  Yes, THAT blue box.  I mentioned this once to Alex, and my wonderful husband remembered.

Nursing Abroad...In A Bathroom

When our son Aiven was 15 weeks old, my husband Alex and I took him to Buenos Aires, to meet Alex’s family. I needed to pump plenty of breast milk to keep Aiven happy in taxis and restaurants, but towards the end of the 10-day trip, my pump decided it needed a vacation too.

My breasts could not afford such luxury, and I was forced to nurse more often to compensate for my slacker pump.

Our trip was blessed with excellent weather, but inevitably there came a rainy day.  We decided to go to a famous shopping center. This mall is huge and well known for both its Art Deco interior and kosher McDonald’s.

The Pain Of Teething

Our Weekend

Teething Rant

Aiven is teething.  Diarrhea, tugging his ears, biting his hands, unusually crabby, not sleeping or eating well teething.  We finally got into a groove and now it has been blown to $#!tereens!

Alex and I have two very different tolerance levels when it comes to Aiven's crying.

Alex can handle it.  I cannot.  I hate hearing my baby boy cry.  Especially if there is something I know can be done to alleviate his discomfort.
