Things That Go Bump In The Night

It amazes me what will and will not wake Aiven up.  It is a constant challenge figuring it out as well because the list keeps evolving as he he does.  As it stands right now, here is the list.

Things that wake Aiven up:

   * A small creak in the floorboard (it doesn't matter how small the creak.  It wakes him up.  We have figured out which floorboards do not creak and walking in his nursery while he is sleeping resembles a grotesque game of hopscotch or twister).
   * Door creaking
   * A cough, sneeze, clearing of throat or nose blowing
   * Loud farts
   * Jingling of keys or dog collars
   * Dog paws' pitter patter
   * Rustling of paper or plastic
   * Velcro
   * Another child's shrill scream (this is the worst and Aiven wakes up terrified)

Things that Aiven sleeps through:
   * Sirens
   * Thunderstorms
   * My husband and I laughing like hyenas
   * Dogs barking
   * Fireworks
   * Blaring movies and music
   * Loud parties
   * Noisy restaurants
   * Toilet flushing
   * Door slamming

I cannot imagine what sleep will be like in the Irish countryside.  Will crickets wake him?  Will croaking frogs soothe him?  I will keep you posted.
