Happy Happy

Today is 2 years since my husband and I met.  This is the anniversary we celebrate every year since our lives were forever changed that night.

Yes, he has planned a fabulous evening out on the town tonight (Dinner and Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo with Robin Williams).

AND, he even gave me surprise gift this morning.  Honestly, I am not a fancy person and don't need expensive gifts.  But like most women I know, we all dream of one day getting a little blue box.  Yes, THAT blue box.  I mentioned this once to Alex, and my wonderful husband remembered.

This morning, he gave me a BLUE bag, with a BLUE box inside of it.  Inside the BLUE box was a little BLUE bag with a beautiful bracelet inside.  Not diamonds, not ornate, but absolutely perfect.

And, ridiculously enough, the thrill of getting something from the Tiffany store was so much fun!

So, you may be asking what am I getting my husband?  Well, since we had Aiven, Alex, an avid reader, struggles to find 5 minutes to read.  We are traveling this summer and for a good portion will be in the quiet countryside in Ireland.  So, I am giving him a Kindle so he won't have to lug books around all summer.  With it comes a hemp kindle cover which was challenging to find for my vegan hubby.  It also comes with a bunch of homemade coupons that he can redeem for hour long periods of uninterrupted, quiet reading time.  I have also loaded it with a bunch of books and have a gift certificate for him to buy a few on his wish list himself.

I love celebrating the day we met.  I love remembering that moment he walked up to me with his messy hair and scruffy clothes.  I love remembering all the things we talked about until 7 am.  That night changed my life.
